People in Vegas 3 of 3
This was our final week of mandatory shooting of "people". This week we were back on Fremont Street. We had a good time that day walking around and people watching. Here are my favorite10:
This man provided great customer service...
Getting ready to change a sign on a building.....
Security on Fremont.............
I loved how the sunlight hit this man perfectly while others were dark...
Very cute makeup Salesman,very friendly....
Lighting his cigar, beware of the oxygen tank....
Morning coffee & a smoke....
Costume girl with her bodyguard? He actually said what about a "tip" after taking their photo... I really feel that Fremont & the strip are getting over run with these people.
A tourist pondering his drink......
A sad sight that you see often downtown....

10-20-11 People in Vegas Part 2 of 3
Today my Prime class had breakfast at the Peppermill. It was a very nice place, above Denny's pricing but below some others. Their food portions were large. I had the Small Oatmeal with bananas, walnuts, & raisons. The small bowl was more like a large soup bowl. It kept me full all day long.
Then we went to the Fashion Show Mall area, around Wynn, & Venition to take photos of random people. It was a nice day for it. I saw a few families today, young and older generations.

There are many interesting people on the strip if you like to people watch. From families, tourists, workers, "card/ticket" people, costumed characters, and more.
Here are some of my pics from today:

Las Vegas Ren Faire
This past weekend we had absolutely beautiful weather for this years Renaissance festival. Here are my findings from this years Faire:
Location:
This year and next the faire has moved from Sunset Park to Silverbowl park off Russell Rd. I know there were some complaints about this before the faire started. In my mind, it was a GREAT change. The faire did not seem as compact and boxed in with people. The new location had a very large space to walk around and enjoy the faire and not feel like you were tripping over other people.
Food:
The main food area was well set up so there was plenty of grassy area to sit and eat. The food and drinks were not overpriced. You could even get refills from 1 booth of your lemonade for $1. The funnel cakes this year were almost double in size of last year.
ATM:
Make sure you are prepared with cash at the Faires. The portable ATM machines will charge you $5 for a transaction fee.
Vendors:
There are a variety of vendors at the Faire. From a variety of faire clothing, kids items, jewlrey, weapons, princess & fairy items, umbrellas, fans, walking sticks, and so much more. All in all the prices at most of the vendors were reasonable. But sometimes if you see something you like, walk around you may find a better deal. Example we found a booth that had necklaces 2 for $15 but another booth they were $15 each for the same styles.
Rides:
This year there were not only the Camel ride for $5 but also a Horse Ride for $5 as well.
People:
The majority of people that participate at the faire as well as people that attend are super friendly. Its a great place to mingle with so many people in 1 area and almost everyone is laid back and having a good time.
I would reccomend going to the Ren Faire at least 1 day every year. I will be posting an Album of photos on http://www.dawncall.com/ in the events folder soon. I will also be doing some fantasy edits from some of the photos I took of Faire Participants that signed my release form.
Here are a few samples from the Faire:
